Sherrie A. Taylor

Special Council

Sherrie A. Taylor received her J.D. degree in 1988 from St. John’s University School of Law.

Ms. Taylor was a partner in a mid-sized renowned Manhattan Real Estate Law Firm where her areas of concentration were commercial litigation and appellate practice; she joined DNCT as Of Counsel in 2002. Ms. Taylor has represented clients in diverse areas of the law including corporate and partnership issues, Civil Rights section 1983 litigation, estate litigation, real estate brokerage issues, mortgage foreclosure, discrimination disputes, general contract and property disputes, as well as general civil litigation. Ms. Taylor also coordinates with clients’ insurance carriers to, where applicable, retain Daniels Norelli Cecere & Tavel, PC as defense counsel thereby ensuring that clients continue to benefit from the firm’s quality representation. Ms Taylor brings to the firm a level of litigation expertise and more than 30 years experience, that allows the firm to uniquely strategize and handle clients varied interests in contentious litigation. Ms. Taylor’s broad experience in litigation, coupled with her expansive experience provides her with a unique perspective which she brings to each case. As a litigator, Ms. Taylor is aware of the technical rules of law facing clients; as an attorney attempting to negotiate a settlement agreement for clients, Ms. Taylor is adept at avoiding potential pitfalls and creating avenues for successful litigation of disputes that can arise post settlement agreement. As a result of Ms. Taylor’s extensive background in appellate practice, which includes appeals through the Court of Appeals of the State of New York as well as motion practice to the Supreme Court of the United States, unlike many small Real Estate Firms, clients of Daniels Norelli Cecere & Tavel, PC need not resolve themselves to accepting trial court holdings as their destiny.
